KEARNEY, NE — At their February 2024 board meeting, the Development Council for Buffalo County appointed three new board members and gave thanks to a long-serving board member.

The new members are Nathan Dorsey, Sr. Advisor, Community Banking at FNBO; Justin Gould, Sr. Operations Manager at Black Hills Energy, and Amanda Polacek, Marketing Manager at Kearney Regional Medical Center. Each will serve a three-year term on the 15-member board.

“Nathan, Amanda, and Justin are great additions to the Development Council board,” said Stan Clouse, outgoing Chairman of the board and Kearney Mayor.  “They each bring a unique depth of experience and knowledge in key aspects of our county-wide community, which will further our mission of desirable and viable economic growth.”

“Our board of directors is strategically assembled to maximize the organization’s impact,” said Trevor Lee, Executive Director of the Development Council. “We bring together a diverse group of highly effective people from across Buffalo County alongside the public entities that support us, and we make positive things happen”, Lee said.

On Wednesday, the Development Council also recognized outgoing board member David Oldfather, who has served on the board since 2017. “Dave has been a tremendous asset to Buffalo County and our organization as a member of the board and chairman, and for that I am extremely grateful,” said Lee. “He has provided years of leadership in Kearney beyond his time on the board, and I look forward to working with him as a continued supporter of the communities we serve”.
